Past participants of Berkeley Institute programming (3+ events) are invited to join our BINST Alumni Association. Through this Association, our alumni foster intellectual friendships, support our work, and continue to think with us.

Eligibility: Past participation in programming as students and a donation of any amount. A donation counts toward membership toward the preceding calendar year or following calendar year, depending on the date given.

The BINST Alumni Association is excited to host a reading group for the Fall 2026 Semester, in connection to the Berkeley Institute's theme "Human Dignity.” We will be reading the chapter "Goodness Beyond Virtue" from A Common Humanity by Raymond Gaita. The reading is fairly short and should prompt a great discussion!

The Berkeley Institute has two short novellas as our community reads this semester, and we would be interested to know which one you would like to discuss! We will coordinate a reading group based on alumni interest and availability. Please email Dena (dena@binst.org) to let her know you'd be interested in discussing one of these novellas in a virtual reading group.
