As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Institute relies entirely upon the support of donors to continue its mission. All donations are tax-deductible.

A community of supporters unaffiliated with the university who wish to support our work and participate in special programming.
Eligibility: Financial support of at least $200/year (or ~$17/month)
Benefits: Invitations to special events and behind-the-scenes updates -
BINST Alumni Association
A community of supporters who participated in Berkeley Institute programming as students. Together they cultivate intellectual friendships, support our work, and continue to think with us.
Eligibility: Past participation in programming as students and $100/year donation (or $8.50/month; contact director@binst.org with questions)
Benefits: Invitations to virtual and in-person donor-specific events, behind-the-scenes updates and more -
Supporters' Circle
A community of supporters serious about the value of what we do. Alongside our alumni, faculty, and board, our Supporters’ Circle helps build our vision for the future.
Eligibility: Financial support of at least $1000/year (or ~$84/month)
Benefits: Includes Friends of the Berkeley Institute Benefits, an invitation to an annual dinner with Institute leadership, and free copies of our Community Read and corresponding programming materials
