BAMPFA: Art as Contemplation
a private tour with Alan Templeton
Join us for a look at five paintings in UC Berkeley's collection, taken out of storage on this special occasion in conversation with the Berkeley Institute’s semester theme, “Varieties of Thinking.” We will discuss the kinds of practices that are required of us to contemplate art and the kind of thinking that art invites us to engage in.
This excursion is open to students, faculty and participants in the Community Read. RSVP is required.
Date: Friday, April 4
Time: 1:30-3:00PM
Location: Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA)
