Many of our Spring 2025 Programs are thinking with our Semester Theme, “Varieties of Thinking.”

Our programs are free of charge. Unless otherwise stated, all programs are open to undergraduate and graduate students, and require no prior knowledge or experience.

    A lunch hour monthly reading group discussing our Spring 2025 Community Read.

    This group is open to the general public.

  • Descartes: Reading Together

    This two-session seminar is open to students, recent graduates, and faculty.

  • Undergraduate Working Group: On Friendship

    A working group for undergraduates and recent graduates on "friendship" that will meet throughout the fall semester.

  • On Half-Baked Thoughts; and the Necessity of Provisional Thinking

  • BAMPFA: Art as Contemplation

    A guided look at part of the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive’s reserve collection, designed around our semester theme.
